On Monday 11th June the Governor-General of Australia announced that as part of the Queens Birthday 2007 Honour list, Mr Henk Vogels Senior was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for outstanding service to the cycling community.

Henk was awarded the medal in a ceremony on September 7.

February was a good month for the Foundation. At the West Australian Sports Star awards Henk Vogels Snr received an award for services to cycling.
